Welcome to 2022-2023 Player Registration!

Welcome to Bemidji Youth Hockey and the 2022-2023 hockey season.  We are very excited to have your child be a part of BYHA and learning the great game of hockey.  Thanks in advance for letting all of us at BYHA be a part of providing a great hockey experience for your child.

 

There are a few important things to know for this upcoming season for those returning and for new parents to be aware of.  Here are some key things to be aware of:

 

  1. Fall Hockey -  we will be offering both a September Hockey program and an October Hockey program.  Please watch your email and the website for more information. 
  2. Fundraising – each player will be responsible for selling twenty raffle tickets at $20.00 each in order to participate (family maximum of 40 raffle tickets).  There will be no buyout, everyone will be expected to sell them.  You can write your own name on them to purchase them if you choose, but each player will be required to participate.
  3. Mites/Termites/8U/6U – For those new to hockey with a young child, be sure you attend the parent meeting before the season to get up to speed with BYHA.  If you have questions about what equipment to wear, what age group to attend, or anything else you can get a lot of the answers on our BYHA website under the Mite/Termite page found under the “Teams” tab.  Also, you will find the age groups reps contact information you can email or call with any questions. **** 6U/8U registration will still show as mites.  This was a registration creation overlook.  We will however break the girls into their own group prior to the start of the season just as we did last year. 
  4. DIBS – Everyone will be required to write a $500 check for your DIBS volunteer hours at the beginning of the year parent meeting.  If you complete your DIBS, the check will be shredded at the end of the year.
  5. Registration for goalies at the PeeWee, 12U and Bantam level will be free.  We are committed to improving the affordability of playing goalie.  If you register after August 14th you will be responsible for the $200 increase in fees.

 

In order to have accurate numbers to determine teams, registration must be completed by August 14th.  This will allow us to accurately predicate the number of teams we will have playing at each level and to schedule games for those teams.  A large portion of games are scheduled with opposing teams in early September.  Each year we struggle as players register in October right before tryouts.  This has caused situations which frustrate everyone; parents, coaches and players alike.  To avoid that, anyone registering after August 14, 2022 will notice an increase in fees by $200 at all levels of play except for termites/mites/8u/6u.  This includes goalies. 

Fees for the 2022-2023 season

Termites/Mites/8U/6U - $250

Squirts/10U - $425; After August 14th - $625

PeeWee/Bantam/12U - $500; after August 14th - $700

 

When you register you will have the option to pay in full; pay half the day you register and half December 15th or make monthly payments with the amount divided depending on the day you register, with monthly payments on the 15th of the month and paid in full on December 15th.

We are working to increase our social media and website presence.  To that end, pictures may be placed on the website of teams, players and activities around the rinks.  If you do not want your child's picture on the website or in social media of BYHA, please contact Jennifer Nelson, BYHA president.

  • Step 1: CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration and register your player(s). Be sure to PRINT and SAVE their confirmation code(s). Remember to register EACH of your players with USA Hockey. Each player must have their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number.
  • Step 2: Return to this registration and click the continue button below to proceed. Later in this registration session you will need to enter the USA Hockey Confirmation Code that you received in Step 1.
