Tourney Machine/Game Sheets/Sports Engine (Scroll Down)

Thank you for looking at our tournament page! If you keep scrolling down, you will see that BYHA is using Tourney Machine, Game Sheets, and Sports Engine to help organize the tournaments and communicate with teams. These apps are pretty cool, you can get live game updates, look at stats, and checkout all the teams. There may be discrepancies between Tourney Machine and the manual entries/seeding/etc.  If you have questions, coaches and team managers should contact tournament staff. Thanks!

Parents/Specators

Below are some clarifications to our rules for those of you who have questions about appropriate conduct when you are watching kids play hockey. Please don't help me add things to the list.

(1) Non-Service Animals cannot come into the rink.  This rule applies the same to multiple animals. Our rinks are not zoos.

(2) If you are asked to leave the rink by an on-ice OR off-ice tournament official, you are done in the rink for the rest of the weekend.  This rule applies if you change clothes and try to come back in.

(3) Don't wander around the rink with containers of alcohol.

(4) Your conduct in the rink is being recorded and the audio from the spectator section is clear.

(5) Livebarn ends up on Tik Tok.  Also, see #4 and crazy.hockey.fans

(6) The expert referee seating area has been moved from the mezzanine to the Mississippi River inlet on the south side of Lake Bemidji.

(7) The boards at Nymore Gardens are older, but the bracing is not a step for parents to go above the glass to yell at the refs.  The glass is there for your safety, and if you are climbing the glass to yell at refs you probably need risk mitigation for your life in general. See also #4, #5, #6. Clicking on the link to the referee complaint form might be helpful.

(8) Refs are cool.  Whistles are cool.  Spectators are cool. Refs with whistles are cool. Spectators with whistles are NOT cool.

What is LiveBarn?

With LiveBarn's streaming service you are able to watch your player live at Bemidji Community Arena (1st National Rink and Sanford Power Rink) or at Nymore Rink.  Use the promo code listed above!

Wildcard and Seedings for Sunday

Lots of great games this weekend! Good luck to everyone as we head into Sunday.

The pool winners are CCHA (6.5 points), West Fargo (6 points), and Prior Lake (5.5 points)

The "Wildcard" is determined by looking at the second place finishers in the pool.

Cloquet and Woodbury have 4.5 points and Cottage Grove has 4.0.  Unbeaten Cloquet gets the "Wildcard" because they allowed 6 goals to Woodbury's 9. Cloquet will face off against #1 seed CCHA tomorrow in the semis, along with Prior Lake and West Fargo in the other half of the bracket.

The "Friendship" games tomorrow will follow the overtime rules.  I tried to get everyone matched up so the "city teams" can play the "up north" teams.

Rule Clarification:  Parents shouldn't call the BYHA President's cell phone for really any reason, leave communication with tournament staff up to coaches and managers. Rule CB1.01.

Great job to all teams!
